Who actually wins: me or the person I nominate?
Your nominee is the Sitter of the Year. They get the trophy and a kit, and up to four of their colleagues get a kit each, all delivered to one workplace. If you nominated a colleague, you're presumably one of those four. We'll contact you first, so you can share the good news.
Is it a random draw?
No. It's a game of skill. Every entry is read and scored on creativity, humour or heart, and relevance. The highest score wins.
What do I get for entering?

Terms and conditions
  1. Promoter. The promoter is Gully Sports Pty Ltd trading as Gully Boards, ABN 72 619 354 077, 2/24 Rose Ave, Boronia VIC 3155 ("Promoter"). Contact: via gullyboards.com.au/pages/contact.
  2. Promotion. The 2026 Australian Sitter of the Year ("Promotion") is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.
  3. Promotional period. The Promotion opens at 12:00am AEDT on Friday 23 October 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on Sunday 22 November 2026 ("Promotional Period"). Entries received outside the Promotional Period are invalid.
  4. Eligibility. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 or over. Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, and agencies associated with the Promotion are not eligible.
  5. How to enter. To enter, visit https://www.gullyboards.com.au/pages/the-2026-australian-sitter-of-the-year during the Promotional Period and complete the entry form. The form includes nominating a person (a colleague or yourself) and answering, in 50 words or less: "Why do they deserve to be The 2026 Australian Sitter of the Year?" Entries over 50 words may be judged ineligible.
  6. Entry limit. One entry per person. Entries must be the entrant's original work. Entries that are offensive, defamatory, discriminatory or that identify a person in a way they would reasonably object to will be excluded.
  7. Nominating someone else. If you nominate another person, you confirm that: • they are aged 18 or over • they're happy for you to share their first name, role and workplace with the Promoter for this Promotion • you'll pass on the Promoter's contact if they're shortlisted. The Promoter will only use the nominee's details for this Promotion. It won't add them to any marketing list.
  8. Judging. All valid entries will be judged by Mark Smith of Gully Boards on or around Tuesday 24 November 2026 at 2/24 Rose Ave, Boronia VIC 3155. The judging criteria are: • creativity and originality (10 points) • humour or heart (10 points) • relevance to the theme (10 points). The entry with the highest total score wins. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. Prize. There is one winning entry. The prize is: • (a) one handmade timber Sitter of the Year trophy for the winning nominee • (b) one Ultimate Desk Movement Kit with mat, and one Timber Finger Spinner, for the winning nominee • (c) one Ultimate Desk Movement Kit with mat, and one Timber Finger Spinner, for each of up to four (4) of the winning nominee's colleagues at the same workplace. The total prize value is up to $1,000 (RRP, incl. GST and delivery). The trophy is a one-off item with no cash value.
  10. Prize delivery. All kits and the trophy are delivered to one nominated workplace address in Australia, at the Promoter's cost. Prizes aren't transferable or exchangeable and can't be redeemed for cash. If a product becomes unavailable, the Promoter may substitute a product of equal or greater value.
  11. Winner notification. The entrant behind the winning entry will be contacted by email or phone by Wednesday 25 November 2026. The winner will be announced publicly on Friday 27 November 2026 on gullyboards.com.au, Gully Boards' social media channels and email. If the winner can't be contacted, or doesn't accept the prize within 10 business days, the next highest-scoring entry will be selected.
  12. Publicity. By entering, you agree that the Promoter may publish your entry and the nominee's first name, general role and state (not surname or employer name, unless agreed) for promotional purposes. The Promoter will ask before using any photos or video.
  13. Entrant offer. Every valid entrant receives a code for 10% off one Desk Movement Board Kit order placed on gullyboards.com.au before 11:59pm AEDT Monday 30 November 2026. One use per customer. The offer isn't part of the prize and can't be exchanged for cash.
  14. Privacy. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information to run this Promotion and, if the entrant opts in, to send marketing emails. Entrants can unsubscribe at any time. Information is handled in line with the Promoter's Privacy Policy at gullyboards.com.au/policies/privacy-policy.
