Four cork pieces. A hundred ways to move, build and balance, right there on the lounge room floor.
Give a child four cork half-rollers and watch what happens. They become stepping stones across a pretend river, a wobbly bridge, a tower to topple, a tunnel. No instructions, no single right way to use them, and that's the point.
The Cork Movement Kit is four handmade cork half-rollers. Flat-side down they're stable steps and stones. Flipped curved-side down they wobble and rock. Every set-up asks a little more of your child's balance and coordination, and it's your child doing the asking, not you.
Screen-free play that builds real skills at home. To them it just looks like fun.
Why parents and grandparents love it
Balance built through play. Every wobble and careful step is your child's body learning to find its centre. No drills, just trying, tipping and trying again.
It grows with them. With no fixed way to use it, the challenge scales itself. A cautious three-year-old steps stone to stone. A bolder five-year-old flips the pieces over for the wobble.
Open-ended by design. Loose parts your child arranges and reinvents, the kind of play early-years educators champion because the thinking and the moving both come from the child.
Active play indoors. Rainy day, small backyard or apartment, it turns a patch of floor into a movement course.
A gift that lasts. Natural cork, with no batteries and no plastic. Something a child returns to and a grandparent feels good about giving.
Ways to play
No wrong answers, but to get started:
- Stepping stones: cross the "river" without touching the floor.
- Wobble challenge: curved-side down, balance as long as you can.
- Bridges: line them up for a low balance walk.
- Build and topple: stack towers and tunnels, then knock them down.
Half the fun is what your child invents that you never would have.
Why cork
Cork is light enough for small hands, so kids carry and rearrange the pieces themselves. It's warm and grippy underfoot, quiet on the floor, and forgiving when a tower comes down. A natural, renewable material with no plastic smell and nothing synthetic. Premium where it counts, made to be handled every day.

Our Kids Balance & Wobble Board comes with a single cork half-roller. The Cork Movement Kit adds four more, turning one board into a whole movement course. New to the range? The Kit is a lovely place to start, and the board slots in when your little one is ready for the next challenge.

FAQ
What age is it for? Three to six is the sweet spot, but it grows either way. Younger toddlers step across the flat pieces with a grown-up nearby, and older kids keep finding new challenges in the wobble and the building.
What's in the kit? Four cork half-rollers, each 20 x 10 x 5cm. Flat-side down for stable steps, curved-side down for a wobble.
Do I need the Balance & Wobble Board too? No, the Kit stands on its own. But the two are made for each other: the board includes one cork half-roller and the Kit adds four more. Start with either.
Is cork safe and hard-wearing? Yes. It's light, warm to the touch and forgiving, built to be stacked, stepped on and toppled every day.
Will it mark the floor or make noise? Cork is quiet and gentle on floorboards and ears alike.
Where is it made? By hand, by us, in Melbourne.
